Demo cakes

These are some cakes that I did for a demonstration at my Aunt's church. The blue one with the stars was a new technique I wanted to try. I love the criss-cross brush pattern on the background, It reminds me of linen.

The white and pink cake was inspired by the sun hats at the Kentucky Derby. I think a two tiered one like this would be so fun for a little girl's birthday party. (a tea party, perhaps?)

Both are fondant, I can't remember what is on the inside--probably whatever I had on hand.
